The role of a barista is much more than just making coffee. There’s much more to it than meets the eye - when you’re behind the bar, you’re setting the vibe for the whole shop. Through your hospitality, the decorations you add, but most important (for me, at least) is the music.
If you’ve visited us at Bloom, you’ve had a chance to listen to a part of our 40 hour long - and always growing - playlist, just so we don’t have to keep listening to the same songs over and over again. We know there’s nothing worse than hearing the same handful of songs day in and out (we pay our respects to anyone who isn’t allowed to touch the playlist at work).
All of this goes doubly so for Christmas. I mean, there probably aren’t even 40 hours of recorded Christmas songs period. Maybe that’s a little hyperbolic, but it sure does feel like it sometimes! That’s why we’ve curated a Christmas playlist that doesn’t feature any of the old, tired songs of yore. Now, there might be a few covers of the classics, but don’t hold that against us - we’re only human.
